Year 9 Foundation Sports Scholarship – Trial Day Registration Form

Completion of this registration form is required to confirm applicants' attendance at the Sports Trial Day for the Year 9 Foundation Sports Scholarship.

This will take place on Tuesday 31 March 2026 for summer sports and Tuesday 28 April 2026 for winter sports at St Andrew's College in Gym 2. Please complete the registration form by Thursday 26 March 2026.

After the trial day, all decisions will be communicated by Wednesday 10 June 2026. Acceptance will need to be confirmed that week.

Overview of Trial Day

• 8.30am – Assemble. Parents and students meet at Strowan House Reception/flagpole;
• 8.45am–9.15am – Parent Meeting – Tea/coffee in Dining Room. Introductions/overview;
• 8.30am–8.45am – Students Gym 1 – Introductions/Day overview. Warm up;
• 8.45am–9.45am – Co-operative games and fitness testing;
• 9.45am–10.00am – Morning Tea provided for students;
• 10.00am–11.00am – Code 1 session;
• 11.00am–11.45pm – Code 2 Session;
• 12.00pm – Parents to collect students from St Andrew's College.

What Applicants Need to Bring

• Water bottle;
• Wear comfortable sports clothes with good sports shoes;
• Mouth guard (if applicable);
• Any specific equipment, e.g. tennis racquet, hockey stick, rugby boots, mouthguard, cricket bag etc;
• Any specific medication/inhalers etc.
