Uniform

Uniforms are issued to students once they become a playing member of either the A, B and C Band.

The Pipe Band supplies the kilt, sporran, vest and hose flashes. All items are to be named. If an item of uniform has been lost or damaged, then the student will be responsible to pay for a replacement. Students are required to purchase their own white long-sleeved shirt. The Pipe Band tie (Senior College issue) is available from the College Shop. Navy Kilt Hose and Glengarry’s are available through the Pipe Band Manager. Items will be charged to the student’s College account.

Dress is an important element for the Band, and we encourage members to take pride in their uniforms. We ask for parental support with care of uniform items, as the whole outfit is valued at approximately $1000. Caring for them appropriately greatly extends the life of what is a large ongoing cost to the Band. If a student leaves the Pipe Band, it is expected that the kilt and vest are dry-cleaned on return. Pipe Band Membership fees are also still payable until the uniform has been returned to the Pipe Band Manager.

Footwear

For C Band members, polished regulation school shoes are acceptable. For the A Band and B Band, pipe band Ghillie Brogues are a requirement at the owner's cost and are available from the pipe band manager.
